yes i shipped bellarke and wanted a happy, or at least hopeful, ending for them, but the thing that makes me sad is it’s not just that, it’s that we never once got to see bellamy fall for someone, both his relationship with gina and echo started off-screen, so instead of watching those relationships develop into something more, the audience were just told about them, both relationships were formed during a time jump, months for bellamy and gina’s and years for bellamy and echo’s, there was no buildup for gina at all, we never even met her until they introduced them as an item, and bellamy and echo’s relationship went through a huuuge shift between s4 & s5 that we never got so much of a glimpse of, not even during the flashback scene
part of the reason i liked the idea of ending the show with bellamy and clarke, aside from them being our leads and that i just simply like them, is that it would have been a relationship we truly saw, it would have been 7 seasons of buildup, we would have actually been able to watch that relationship flourish with our eyes instead of just being told about it, bellamy and clarke’s relationship could have honestly been a story for the ages
yes, i do believe bellarke deserved better, but more than that, i believe bellamy deserved better
bellamy blake deserved to be loved
